Deuteronomy 27:13-15

¹³ And these tribes must stand on Mount Ebal to announce the curses: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali [^Cthese two mountains form a natural amphitheatre].

¹⁴ The Levites will say to all the people of Israel in a loud voice:

¹⁵ “Anyone will be cursed who makes an idol or statue and secretly sets it up, because the Lord ·hates [detests] the ·idols people make [^Lthe work of the hand of an artisan; 5:8–10; Ex. 20:3–5; 34:17; Is. 44:9–20].”

Then all the people will say, “Amen!”
